Last week 22-year-old Ohio resident Matthew Cordle confessed in a stunning YouTube video to killing 62-year-old veteran and photographer Vincent Canzani in a booze-fueled car accident back in June. Now, The Columbus Dispatch reports that a grand jury has officially indicted Mr. Cordle for aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony.

Mr. Cordle is expected to plead guilty to the charges, a promise he made in the viral video that he recorded with the help of Because I Said I Would, a nonprofit startup aimed at helping people keep important promises. The Dispatch reports that he is expected to surrender this evening and could face two to eight years in prison for his crime.

The video raised serious questions about Because I Said I Would's motivations, but a representative denied in a statement to Betabeat that the video was intended for promotional purposes.
